How it works. Cards sit on a five-rung ladder: Level I (Common), II (Uncommon), III (Rare), IV (Prestige), V (Legendary). Empty slots take Level I only. Any card may instead be played face down as a rock: uncapturable, counts as Level I, one per player at a time. Upgrade a slot you control by playing exactly one Level above it; it captures like a fresh play. Higher touching number wins, ties hold. The game ends the moment the ninth slot is filled.

The pool — 120 cards

House rules

Pick one extra card. Before the first move one card is taken at random from each hand and set aside, unseen. The winner takes the other player’s at the end.

Families beat each other in a cycle — Club → Mutant → Cosmic → Arcana → Club. A tie on a touching edge is won by the attacker when its family dominates.

Your hand — 0 of 13

In a hurry? Quick play builds a strong thirteen-card hand on the composition the simulations favour and locks it in for you.

Reading The Board

Each card shows its four edges at the compass points. A played card captures a neighbour when its touching number is strictly higher — ties hold. Dots in the corner count the cards stacked in that slot.

Empty slots take Level I (Common) only. Any card may instead be placed face down as a rock — uncapturable, counts as Level I, one per player at a time. Cover it with an upgrade and you may rock again.

Upgrade by playing exactly one Level above a slot you control — I → II → III → IV → V. It captures just like a fresh play.
